In Ashgabat and other cities, it is forbidden to photograph government buildings, military facilities, and airports. Unsure if you can take a picture? Your personal guide will always suggest the best angle and warn you about any restrictions.
- Tobacco and smoking. We support a healthy lifestyle, so smoking is only permitted in specially designated areas. Please note: the import of cigarettes is strictly limited (up to 2 packs per adult), and the import and use of naswar is strictly prohibited.
- Personal first-aid kit. Take care of your health in advance. If you take specific prescription drugs, be sure to bring a prescription from your doctor. Strict customs restrictions may apply to the import of certain medications.
