How the Turkmenistan E-Visa Works

The process is the same for every traveler:

1

1. Choose your tour and dates

The visa is issued for a specific trip, so the application is prepared after you pick a tour.

2

2. Fill in the short online form

On our visa application page, upload a scan of your passport and a visa photo and add your contacts and travel dates. It takes about 5 minutes.

3

3. We check, complete and submit the application

The State Migration Service asks for more than your personal data, including the route and other trip details. We fill these in ourselves according to your tour and correct any mistakes before submitting.

4

4. Pay the invoice and receive your e-visa

We email you the portal invoice and a payment link, and you pay by card on our website. Processing then takes 9 business days, or 5 if expedited, and we forward the finished visa to your email.

What You Need to Know About the Turkmenistan Visa

Who needs a visa

Everyone, without exception. There is no simplified procedure: the e-visa is the only way to get a Turkmenistan visa.

Which visa we arrange

We arrange the tourist visa. A transit visa exists, but only an embassy can issue it, so we do not offer it. Tours that are called transit tours also run on a tourist visa.

Cost

Typically $40 for a standard visa and $80 for an expedited one. The fee depends on your nationality and the Migration Service does not publish a full list. The exact amount is known after we file your application: we email you the portal invoice and you pay it by card on our website (the total includes a 10% payment-processing fee).

Guide is mandatory

Turkmenistan is a closed country: every route is accompanied by a guide, who keeps travelers out of restricted places. This applies to all tours without exceptions.

Looking for the Letter of Invitation (LOI)?

A separate Letter of Invitation is no longer required: the old LOI step was replaced by the e-visa application. Our LOI page explains what changed.
